- Dates TBA
- Venue: TBA
Dear Architectural Professional
After thoughtful consideration and careful evaluation of the current economic landscape, we have made the tough decision to move the AZA 2024 conference from its original dates of 4-6 September 2024 to the first half of 2025.
We are aware that this may come as a disappointment, but rest assured, it was not an easy choice for us. AZA 2024 is a highly anticipated event for our profession and future professionals to gather, exchange ideas, network, and present their work. As the Organising Team and Steering Committee, our main objective is to deliver a first-class event that exceeds the expectations of our stakeholders and delegates. However, due to financial constraints, we were unable to secure the desired level of sponsorship support.
We firmly believe that it is better to postpone the conference rather than compromise on its quality. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and understand that the change of dates may cause some disruption. However, we assure you that the extra time will allow us to plan an exceptional conference, one that truly represents the passion and dedication of our profession.
We are happy to announce that certain side events, such as the Corobrik SAIA Awards for Merit and of Excellence, launch of the anticipated ‘The SAIA Arch Journal – Architecture a.’, New Architecture Now Exhibition, and Movie Night hosted by GIfA, will still take place during the week of 4-6 September. We will provide updates on these events in the upcoming days.
We’d also like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the University of Johannesburg for their immense support and generosity in offering their venues for the conference in 2024.
We are currently finalising new dates for the conference and will inform you as soon as they are confirmed.
We value your support and participation and are confident that with more time, we can bring the profession together stronger than ever before.
Thank you for your understanding and continuous support.
We look forward to welcoming you to AZA2025 in the first half of the year.
Kind regards
