Thato Mashele
Thato Mashele is a 4th year architecture student at the Tshwane University of Technology. She is the President of the Architecture and Industrial Design Representative Council, a PIA student representative, a mentor, and a student lecturer.
Outside of her studies, she’s a professional chef and baker, and a multi-faceted entrepreneur and business woman, showcasing her love for art, design and learning in multiple industries.
With sustainability being at the core of architecture and its pedagogy now, her school projects have spoken to all factors of sustainability and its future. Her architectural narratives focuses mostly on the preservation and exhibition of
‘Africanacity’, and its importance and contribution to the constituents of sustainability in architecture and in general.
