Tanzeem Razak is the director and founding partner of the practice Lemon Pebble Architects and Urban Designers in Johannesburg. Tanzeem graduated from the University of Witwatersrand with a BArch and graduated with an MArch (Magna Cumme Laude)in Human Settlements from the Katholieke Universiteit in Belgium in Urban Design.

Tanzeem is a passionate advocate for spatial transformation in South African cities, with a focus on design excellence and collaborative processes in areas of limited resources. She heads a creative team that working public buildings and housing within the post –apartheid urban context, that seeks to critically uncover and make explicit hidden narratives within contested landscapes. Social regeneration remains the underlining theme of her writing and built work, having recently completed the New Link Building for the School of Architecture and Planning and the School of Construction and Economic Management on the University of Witwatersrand Campus.

Tanzeem has taught and lectured at local and international universities, and is a Senior Atlantic Fellow for Racial Equity. She has been an invited to participant 18th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale Di Venezia.
