Charles Nduku
President of the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP)
Charles Ntsindiso Nduku is a prominent architect, owner, and director of NN Architects, and currently serves as the President of the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP). With a National Diploma in Architecture (1991), a Bachelor of Architectural Studies (1997), and a Bachelor of Architecture (1999) from the University of Cape Town, followed by a Master of Urban Design (2021), Nduku has a rich background in architecture.
He began his career as an architectural technologist in 1992 and founded NN Architects in 2003, expanding it from East London to Cape Town and Mthatha. His firm manages diverse projects including offices, educational and health facilities, warehouses, and private homes. Nduku has held significant leadership roles, including President of SAIA Border-Kei Region, SAIA Board Member, and roles at the Housing Association of East London and Eastern Cape
Provincial Heritage Resources Authority. Appointed to SACAP’s Council in 2018, he has served as President for multiple terms and continues to drive transformation, stability, and transparency in the profession.
