Ant Vervoort, founder of the multi-disciplinary design studio Frankie Pappas International in the Netherlands, graduated from the University of Cape Town in 2014. Between 2012 and 2019, he worked for four architectural companies: Wolff Architects, Noero Architects, Urban Think Tank, and StudioMAS. Frankie Pappas, the collective pseudonym for a collaborative team of clients, users, architects, engineers, landscapers, coders, and creatives, emphasizes a philosophy of “wonderfully similar, beautifully different.” The studio is known for its rigorous approach, celebrating client needs, site specifics, budget constraints, climate considerations, and geometry with meticulous attention to detail. Ant, at 30 years old, has achieved numerous international accolades and awards, thanks to his engagement with bricklayers, craftsmen, and artists.
